Your Driver's License/ID & credit card are required for your free demo rental. Your card will not be charged unless you neglect to return the board or return the board with damages, for which you are responsible for. You are expected to treat all demo boards with care & respect. A waiver & damages agreement are required to sign before your free demo rental.
Your demo rental will include premium fins, leash, wax & a board bag.
A kind note: this free demo rental program is designed for surfers who are genuinely interested in ordering/purchasing a board from me. This is not meant to be a free board rental for someone just looking for a board to rent for the day. I am a very small company and it's time consuming and expensive to have any kind of demos, especially free ones. Please be respectful of that and don't take advantage of the free demo opportunity and ruin it for everyone else!
A brief demo history for my newer friends!
For 3 summers from 2017 to 2019, I ran Demo Days on a couple beaches here in Monmouth County as well as down on LBI one day per weekend nearly every weekend from late June through the end of August. My team riders, wonderful girlfriend & family, and even some exceedingly generous customers all helped as there was no way I could have done it alone! I usually had between 12 minimum to 18+ boards available per Demo Day. All demos were free at summer Demo Days, and I also did Demo Rentals since I had the demo fleet of boards. They were available to rent from my shop year-round for standard surfboard rental rates, and any amount spent on Demo Rentals could be applied in full towards a custom order within 90 days of your rental(s).
When COVID hit, that put a halt to summer Demo Days as I ran them legit - getting township approval and permits, fully insured, etc. So that first summer was not a possiblity. As you all know, surfing blew up as the outdoor industry as a whole was exploding with more surfers than ever, and over the next few years through today I simply haven't had the spare time to run Demo Days the way I used to while trying to keep up with custom orders & daily operations. Over time, I ended up selling the demo fleet of boards. While Demo Days were an absolute ton of time & work, they were also SO much fun and I miss having them! And I really enjoyed having the opportunity for people to try my boards without having to pay anything.
So fast forward to 2024 and I've been working on a way to revamp & relaunch a Demo Program! I'm starting slow with just a handful or two of boards, but if all goes well will aim to add more to the new Demo Program.
