Love is a no-frills, curvy design that's executed extremely well. The concept behind the design of the Love is the ever-elusive one shortboard quiver in good waves, especially as a travel board since board/board bag fees are always on the rise. While no TRUE such thing exists as a one board quiver, this board designed to be ultra versatile to get as close as it comes in the shortboard realm. I came up with the design for Love upon asking myself: "If I had to have ONE performance based shortboard to travel around the world with and surf any good break anywhere in the world in any type of conditions, what would it be?". And Love with what I came up with.

The Love was designed to be extremely consistent and predictable underfoot across a mulititude of wave conditions from approximately the punchy waist-stomach high range to good overhead surf, both open faced and barreling, and be performance oriented while still maintaining relative ease to paddle and catch waves. While it's money zone is from about chest to 1' overhead on a somewhat almondy wave, it can comfortably reach outside of that range, handling somewhat small stuff as well as bigger barrels. The fairly low nose rocker and moderate exit rocker with an extra flip through the fins out, wider/fuller outline and extra foam under your chest and through the center line of the board makes paddling nice and easy with enough rocker to handle steeper sections. Single concave throughout with a touch a double running through the fins makes the board responsive, energetic, predictable with just a touch of looseness/playfulness. It's an ultra versatile board that's great to either have in your quiver, or even have as your quiver. Love is best ridden a couple/few inches shorter than your standard high performance shortboard (The Dream/Pipe Dream), and therefore is a bit more agile in the barrel as well. Order the Love if:
⬩ Bigger waves are generally the main focus.
⬩ Barrels & supreme control are the most important aspect, but excellent big carves & vertical performance are very much needed as well.
⬩ You prefer a smoother surfing board than snappy with a more premium locked-in feeling in the barrel or steep drops.

⬩ Medium to manageably bigger sized waves are your focus.
⬩ You want a very healthy amount of performance but also want to maximize ease, user-friendliness, speed and fun-factor than a traditional narrower performance shortboard.
⬩ You want an extremely capable barrel-focused board that feels smooth & fairly locked-in in the barrel yet is very agile and can get a bit snappy with quick release off the top for vertical surfing in the lip.

⬩ Bigger, more perfect/consistent/punchy/lined up waves are your focus.
